TJ WASTE SPONSORS WICKHAM CHARITY BEER FESTIVAL

TJ Waste is sponsoring the Quiet Bar at the upcoming Wickham Charity Beer Festival on Saturday 8 October. The sponsorship saw TJ donating money to the event, the main aim of which is to raise money for charity.

This year’s chosen charities are the Rose Road Association and The Fire Fighters Charity, two fantastic causes. Rose Road provides direct care services including respite breaks, community outreach, holiday activities and advice for over 300 children and young adults with severe physical disabilities, learning difficulties, and/or autism. Based in Southampton, they also work across Hampshire and the surrounding counties.

The Fire Fighters Charity provides confidential, personalised support to the whole of the fire services community, delivering mental health, physical health and social wellbeing services at our centres, remotely, online and in communities around the UK.

TJ has a close relationship with Rose Road having made donations to them on numerous occasions. TJ’s Managing Director, John Gosling has also taken part in many sporting fundraisers for Rose Road too, raising thousands of pounds for them over the past nine years.

The festival, which will take place at Wickham Community Centre, offers three different ticket options that you can purchase – afternoon session (11am-4pm: £7), evening session (4pm-11pm: £9) or all day (11am-11pm: £11). The evening’s entertainment will be courtesy of local band, The Mighty Fly and food will be available all day; from Crescent Spoon at lunchtime and an evening BBQ by Meon Valley Lions Club.

There will be 23 different cask ales on offer, six keg ales and eight ciders to choose from. Beer tokens can be purchased on the day for  £1.75 each or 6 for £10.00. For cask ales and ciders, each token can be exchanged for a half pint, and for keg ales, a token can be exchanged for one third of a pint.

2022 will mark the festival’s 25th anniversary. Many local companies get behind the festival, with over 25 sponsors contributing this year.

TJ sponsors a range of local events and donate to a number of charities and good causes as they like to do all they can to give a little something back to the community and to charity.
