TJ organise skip hire for top production company

TJ had a glimpse into the showbiz world recently when they were contacted by a top London production company who needed large-scale skips to dispose of old sets.

Two Brothers Pictures are filming Liar Season 2 at Printworks, London, and they were struggling to find a local waste company with big enough skips to take the materials they wanted to get rid of.

A production office runner decided to search outside of the London area and contacted TJ, who were happy to help. TJ are able to subcontract their skip hire service all around the UK, which is what they did in this instance.

They used their contacts in the London area to locate the right sized skips and organise the logistics of the project. They ensured that Two Brothers received the skips they needed, at the time they needed them and to fit their budget.

TJ sourced and supplied three 35-yard roll on/off container skips, which Two Brothers used to empty the hired space that they use for set building and filming interior scenes. The bulk of the waste that went into the skips was wood, which was then taken onto a recycling centre for re-use.

TJ took that away and quickly went about getting everything organised to deliver the much-needed service to the client.

Two Brothers Pictures was established in early 2014 by writer/producer brothers Harry and Jack Williams. Their aim is to produce quality comedy and drama television in the UK and internationally.

Harry and Jack launched the company with the BBC One series The Missing. The show was nominated for 2 Golden Globe Awards, 4 BAFTAs and 2 Emmys as well as winning two Nymph d’Ors, Bulldog and BPG awards. The Missing returned in 2016 for a second series airing on BBC One and Starz.

2016 also saw Two Brothers Pictures launch their comedy Fleabag on BBC Three and Amazon, written by and starring Phoebe Waller-Bridge. Fleabag’s first series received numerous awards and nominations. Other programmes include Liar, conspiracy thriller Strangers, Cheat and The Widow for ITV, and Rellik and Baptiste for BBC One. Two Brothers Pictures joined the All3Media Group in 2017.
