TJ deliver the goods

TJ wanted to give a little something back this Christmas – so they donated 12 luxury food hampers to homeless shelters in Portsmouth to celebrate the season of goodwill.

The hampers, which contained luxury items such as coffee, mince pies, fudge, gourmet popcorn and chocolates were given to homeless shelters in the hope that some of those facing hardship will be able to enjoy a tasty Christmas treat.

Two shelters benefitted from this act of kindness, which TJ hoped would provide a ray of sunshine for the recipients. The hampers were delivered in the week leading up to Christmas.

Two Saints, part of Portsmouth Homeless Services, was one of the shelters that received hampers. They sent a letter to TJ saying: “Thank you for the large donation you kindly delivered to our homeless service this week, we are overwhelmed with your generosity and kind thoughts. Our residents and night bed users will be extremely grateful for this donation and will certainly put everything to use! Thank you for supporting Two Saints and the work we do.”

The luxury hampers were also handed out to all TJ employees at Christmas as a thank you for all their hard work during the year.

General Manager Luke Haskell said:

“We always reward our staff with a hamper at Christmas to thank them for the hard work they put in and to celebrate the festive season. This year we wanted to extend this to those less fortunate to give them something nice at a time that can be extremely difficult for some people.”
