TJ Waste has donated a skip free of charge to Mission Christmas, a Cash for Kids campaign that provides support to children living in poverty at Christmas. This is the third year running that TJ has made this donation.

This week is Recycle Week 2023 (16-22 October)! Now in its 20th year, it’s the chance to celebrate recycling nationwide and encourage everyone to recycle more of the right things, more often.

TJ Waste will be undertaking waste management services for the Great South Run 2023, which is taking place this weekend (14 and 15 October) in Portsmouth. This is the ninth year that TJ has been awarded this contract, which is a testament to the exceptional service we provide.

TJ Waste has formed a partnership with Chichester District Council to assist with a bagged waste collection service for the area’s domestic and commercial residents. The service, which was launched by the council in July, enables residents to purchase a Bulky Bag which they can fill with waste and then request a collection.

TJ Waste has successfully fulfilled the waste management contracts for three Hampshire festivals this month. The festivals serviced were Gosport Sunset Festival, the Big Eat Festival at Royal Victoria Country Park and Taste of Wickham.

TJ Waste has secured the waste management contract for the 2023 Formula Kite European Championships, which is taking place off Eastney beach in Portsmouth from 19-24 September.

From 1 September 2023, the law regarding waste wood from demolition and refurbishment activities is changing. From this date, the Environment Agency will withdraw regulatory position statement (RPS) 250, which applies to hazardous waste wood removed from domestic premises, demolition sites and other business premises.

Dibles Wharf Materials Recovery Facility Site Foreman Steve Thompson has successfully completed IOSH Managing Safely, a course designed for those responsible for health and safety in the workplace.

TJ Waste has secured the waste management contract for the Victorious Festival for the seventh year, demonstrating the consistently high level of customer service we provide. The festival will take place on Southsea Common from 25-27 August 2023.

Southampton City Council (SCC) has extended their commercial waste disposal services contract with TJ Waste, following a successful initial three-year partnership.
