Business as usual during lockdown #2

Following the Government announcement on 31 October informing England of a four-week national lockdown, we would like to reassure all our customers and partners that we will remain open and fully operational during this time.

As a company providing essential waste disposal services to many organisations and a range of vital services to the construction and infrastructure industries, TJ is permitted to remain open. The lockdown commences on Thursday 5 November until Wednesday 2 December.

All non-essential shops and leisure outlets, as well as many public places will have to close their doors and anyone who can work from home must do so during this time. The public have been told to stay at home as much as possible, only leaving the house for essential supplies, care support, exercise, education and work if you cannot work from home.

Schools, colleges, universities and training providers will remain open to limit the impact on those in education. Companies and organisations deemed to be providing essential products and services, or those supplying or serving these sectors, will be expected to operate as normal, ensuring that COVID-19-secure environments are provided for employees and customers at all times.

Many organisations rely on TJ to deliver a range of services that enable their operations to run smoothly. Our services are listed below and will be delivered as usual:

Our materials recovery facilities at Southampton, Portsmouth and Yapton will also remain open to provide third-party tipping services and process TJ’s waste streams as usual.

TJ has a range of safety measures in place to ensure the health and wellbeing of our customers and staff. All deliveries and interactions are contact-free, risk assessments have been carried out in all areas and all premises have social distancing measures in place. TJ has also implemented one-way systems in restricted areas, installed hand sanitising stations and provided branded face masks for all staff.

Find out more about the services TJ offers and get in touch if you have any queries or special requirements during this time.
