In the spring, Sue King decided it was time for a clear out; she’d had a shed in the garden which was dismantled a few years ago, leaving behind the wooden base. She had been using the wooden structure as a seating area ever since, but decided the time had come to remove it.
With the help of neighbours, Sue removed the wooden base to find quite a bit of rubble beneath. So following her positive experience of hiring a skip from TJ Waste some years ago, she decided to utilise their services again.
Sue visited TJ’s website and requested a quote for a 4-yard rubble-only skip. She was happy with the price and booked the skip shortly after. She later realised that she would also like to dispose of some fence panels at the same time, so she called the team to ask if she would be able to put wood into the skip too.
As she’d booked a rubble-only skip, it would not have been possible to add in other materials, so the team advised her to switch to a mixed waste skip instead.
Sue took TJ’s advice and switched to a mixed waste skip. She was still uncertain about the skip size, so after another phone call to the team, she upgraded to the 6-yard size to ensure she could fit everything she needed to in it.
Sue said:
“I kept changing my mind about what I needed and I was really unsure of what to go for but the staff were brilliant, so polite and great at accommodating my needs and advising me. Nothing was too much trouble for them.”
Sue booked the skip for a four-day period and secured a 5% discount for short hire. The skip was delivered at 10.30am on day one, which gave Sue and her team of helpers the whole day to make use of it.
Once all the rubble, wood and wooden fence panels had been deposited into the skip there was still plenty of room left, so Sue also had a good sort through the garage, clearing out any unwanted items. And yet there was still capacity left, so Sue offered the remaining space to her helpful neighbours, who had recently cut down a large hedge, and that all went in too!
Sue was extremely pleased with the service and the process from start to finish. She said:
“The admin team were very patient and supportive; I kept apologising for changing my mind, but they reassured me that it wasn’t a problem and I could tell they were saying it with a genuine smile. All the staff seem happy in their work and the drivers are very polite and helpful too. A really good experience all round.
“In preparation for the skip’s arrival, I put some wood down on the driveway for the skip to be placed on and the driver was very good at making sure the skip was placed accurately. The skip was collected in the evening on the fourth day and again, the driver was very polite and even helped me put the wood away after he’d removed the skip! So helpful.”
