Philip and Marie from Fareham upgraded their garage a few months ago which created a fair amount of waste. They had the up and over door replaced, the old brickwork at the front removed and renewed and a completely new roof. To the rear of the garage they had an old wooden framed window removed in favour of a new upvc window and rear door.
This work, which took place over a few months, led to a large pile of rubble in the front garden. Philip had seen a few TJ skips in the local area and after some online research decided that TJ was the way to go due to their competitive prices and great availability.
Once he’d decided to use TJ’s services, Philip then had to select the correct size skip for his needs. He said:
“TJ’s website is great as it’s easy to navigate and all the information is right there. There are five different domestic skip sizes to choose from and each different skip page gives you the dimensions, the volume it holds and even tells you the number of bin bags it will hold! There’s also a video with someone standing next to the skip so it puts the size into context.
Based on the information he found on the website, Philip was able to confidently order an 8 yard, mixed waste skip. He was pleased to discover that his preferred delivery date – the coming Friday – was available and he booked it quickly and easily using the online booking system.
On delivery day, the skip arrived in the morning and was placed on the drive in the requested spot. Philip said: “I was unsure where to have the skip placed as I ideally wanted it right next to the pile of rubble so loading would be easy, but I also wanted to ensure that the skip lorry didn’t have to go onto next door’s drive to place it there.
“I needn’t have worried; the driver expertly manoeuvred the lorry to deposit the skip safely in my chosen spot whilst remaining on our drive, which was great.”
Philip loaded the skip over the space of a week and had the collection booked for the following Thursday. However, the day before the arranged collection, he realised that he’d forgotten to add in some green waste from the bottom of the garden and got in touch with TJ to request keeping the skip for an extra day. The TJ team were happy to accommodate the request and the skip was collected a day later.
Philip and Marie were happy with every element of the service and pleasantly surprised how easy the whole process was. Philip said: “The entire experience with TJ has been smooth; right from selecting the right skip to suit my needs to booking it quickly and easily online, the seamless delivery to the great interactions with the driver and the office team. The customer service has been exceptional and I’d highly recommend TJ’s services!”
